In the letter “Let us build our Mother Church”, His Grace Arch-Bishop Antoine KAMBANDA has started an initiative called “SOLIDARITY AND DEVELOPMENT FUND (SDF) OF KIBUNGO DIOCESE.

This is an idea that His Grace Antoine KAMBANDA presented the time the Diocese of Kibungo was celebrating a golden jubilee of the existence of the Diocese . He thereafter established a team led by Monsignor Oreste INCIMATATA to focus on its objectives, structure, and organization.
This team after studying well the initiative presented it in various finance meetings of Kibungo Diocese and even Clergy meetings. During the finance meeting which took place on 19 th December 2019, it was agreed that the time has come for this Solidarity Development Fund to begin and His Grace Arch-Bishop Antoine Kambanda gave an assurance that the letter to officially begin the initiative was going to be given out as soon as possible.
This initiative as the name describes is based on the unity and cooperation of Christians of Kibungo Diocese in building up the Church and fostering their own financial development.
The SDF will help in the development of Kibungo Diocese and all the parishes and even solving some problems like establishing new projects, building up new parishes, schools, hospitals, and other pastoral activities of the Diocese.
This initiative will also create job opportunities for the youths who face the problem of unemployment by fostering their development so that “They may all have life, and have it abundantly (Jn 10:10) as the motto of the Arch-Bishop maintains.
